Class of 2023 Emmanuel College Athletics Senior Awards Announced
BOSTON - On Monday, May 9, 2023, the Emmanuel College Department of Athletics held its annual Senior Awards Banquet, honoring members of the Class of 2023 for their accomplishments on the field, in the classroom, and within the community. This year, a total of 21 awards were presented as 18 student-athletes and three Emmanuel staff members were recognized by the department.

Chan Earns D3hoops.com All-Region Nod
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College sophomore forward Yannie Chan (Hong Kong, China) has been named the 2022-23 D3hoops.com All-Region team, it was announced earlier today on D3hoops.com.

Chan Named GNAC Player of the Year; Matela Earns All-Conference Nod
BOSTON - Emmanuel College sophomore forward Yannie Chan (Hong Kong, China) has been named the 2022-23 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Year, it was announced on Monday by the conference office. Chan also earned a GNAC First Team All-Conference selection while junior guard Olivia Matela (Swampscott, Mass.) earned a spot on the GNAC All-Conference Third Team. First year forward Megan Reilly (Southbury, Conn.) represented the Saints on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship team.

Women’s Basketball Falls in GNAC Championship Game, 74-67 to St. Joe’s (ME)
STANDISH, Maine - Monks junior Hannah Talon (Windham, Maine) exploded for 18 points in the final quarter, shooting a perfect 8-of-8 from the field, and brought the Saint Joseph’s Monks back from a fourth quarter deficit to lead SJC back to the NCAA Tournament thanks to a 74-67 win over the Emmanuel Saints on Sunday afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Game.

BOSTON - With a 66-55 victory in Friday’s Great Northeast Athletic Conference Semifinal against Albertus Mangus, the No. 2 North-seeded Emmanuel Saints women’s basketball program is headed for their fourth consecutive Conference Championship Game, where familiar foe and the No. 1 North-seeded Saint Joseph’s College (ME) Monks awaits on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 1:00 p.m. at the Harold Alfond Center and Mike McDevitt Court.

Saints Headed for Fourth Straight Title Game; Coach Yosinoff Claims 900th Career Victory
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - In a historic night at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center, the Emmanuel Saints women’s basketball team is headed back to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship game for a fourth straight year while Head Coach Andy Yosinoff claimed his 900th career coaching victory, following Friday night’s 66-55 win over Albertus Magnus in the GNAC Semifinals.

Three from Women's Hoops Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors
BOSTON, Mass. – Juniors Kiera Eubanks (Portland, Maine) and Shakirah Ketant (Easton, Mass.) and sophomore Yannie Chan (Hong Kong, China) of the Emmanuel College women's basketball program have received College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors, as announced by the organization on Tuesday, February 21.

Women's Hoops Resets for Semifinal Showdown at Albertus Magnus
BOSTON, Mass. – A 70-67 overtime win in Tuesday's Great Northeast Athletic Conference Quarterfinals against University of Saint Joseph CT sent the No. 2 North-seeded Emmanuel Saints Women's Basketball program into the GNAC Semifinal Round, where they now head to the No. 1 South-seeded Albertus Magnus College Falcons on Friday, Feb. 24, at 7:00 p.m. at the Cosgrove Athletic Center with the victor earning a spot in Sunday’s GNAC Championship.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - A strong defensive first half powered Emmanuel College past host Johnson & Wales University, 87-44, Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference women’s basketball action at the Wildcat Center. The Saints held the Wildcats to single digits in the first two quarters of play, cruising to the one-sided conference road win.
