    A first-generation American who is the first member of her family to graduate from college, the South Boston resident was a Division 3 All-American on the basketball court at Emmanuel College this winter as a senior. An opportunity to play professionally in Ireland is now on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named a D3hoops.com All-American for her performance on the court during the 2019-20 NCAA Division III women’s basketball season, it was announced on the Hoopsville show produced by the D3hoops.com team on Tuesday, March 24.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The honors continue to roll in for Emmanuel College guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) as the senior was recognized by CoSIDA, the WBCA and D3hoops.com for three separate accolades. Ramirez-Tejeda was tabbed a College Sports Information Director's of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American, earning First Team honors after landing on the Second Team last season.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Emmanuel College women's basketball team is set to take on New York University (NYU) in the opening round of the 2020 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament at Morrell Gymnasium on the Bowdoin College campus this Friday at 5:00 PM. The Saints bring a 21-7 overall record to the contest while the Violets don a 20-5 mark heading into the tournament.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Seniors Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) and Kayla Weaver (West Haven, Conn.) have been selected to the 2019-20 GNAC Women's Basketball All-Conference team while also earning two major honors, it was announced Monday morning by the conference office. Ramirez-Tejeda earns GNAC Player of the Year honors and makes her third consecutive appearance on the All-Conference First Team while Weaver was also voted the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year to go along with Third Team honors for the second straight season.

The Monks stand at 19-8 overall and also finished with a 9-2 conference mark to secure the second seed.

    BOSTON, Mass. -Seniors Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) and Kayla Weaver (West Haven, Conn.) combined for 41 points to power top-seeded Emmanuel College past No. 4 Suffolk University, 58-57, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Semifinal action Thursday evening on the Andy Yosinoff Court. Ramirez-Tejeda posted her nation-leading 21st double-double of the season and Weaver became the 25th player in program history to score 1,000 points in an EC uniform during the victory.

The Rams stand at 18-8 overall and posted an 8-3 conference mark to secure the fourth seed.

    After a slow half the both squads, first ranked Emmanuel College exploded for 38 points in the final two periods to take down the eighth ranked Norwich University in the quarterfinal round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference playoffs on Tuesday evening. Senior duo Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) and Kayla Weaver (West Haven, Conn.) combined for 40 points and 23 rebounds to the semifinal round on Thursday, February 27th.

    NEWTON, Mass. – The Lasell University women’s basketball team gave league-leading and defending champion Emmanuel College all it could handle Tuesday evening but the visiting Saints pulled out a 68-62 victory over the Lasers in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) regular season finale for both schools at the Lasell Athletic Center.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Senior guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday afternoon by the conference.office. This marks the ninth time in her career that Ramirez-Tejeda has been named the GNAC Player of the Week, earning the honor once as a sophomore, five times last season as a junior and three times this season.

    BOSTON, Mass. -The Emmanuel College women’s basketball team used a big first quarter performance to carry them past Johnson & Wales University, 68-56, Tuesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Saints outscored the Wildcats by a 25-10 margin in the opening frame, never trailing in the action en route to the home victory.

    The visiting Suffolk University Rams took down the Saints in a thrilling Great Northeast Athletic Conference match-up on Saturday, February 1st. The Rams were led by junior guard Jenni-Rose DiCecco’s (Falmouth, Mass.) game-high 18 points, six assists and five rebounds while teammate Alexis Hackett (Charlton, Mass.) tied the all-time rebounding record for Suffolk University.
