    BOSTON, Mass. – Senior guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week it was announced on Monday afternoon by the conference office. This marks the seventh time of her career that she has been named the GNAC Player of the Week, earning the honor once as a sophomore and five times last season as a junior.

    BOSTON, Mass. - Sophomore forward and Tournament Most Valuable Player Julia Mertsock (Castle, N.Y.) scored 24 points to lead the Saint John Fisher College women’s basketball team over host number 25 Emmanuel College (Mass.), 76-68, in the Championship Game of the 36th Annual Emmanuel College Tip-Off Tournament on Andy Yosinoff Court in Boston, Mass.

    WINTHROP, Mass. – In a potential changing of the guard across the league landscape, longtime powerhouse and defending champion Emmanuel College has topped the 2019-20 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Preseason Poll, as announced by the GNAC office on Tuesday morning.
  • Iman (Davis) Barbosa Inducted into GNAC Hall of Fame

    On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, eight former student-athlete standouts were enshrined as part of the 2019 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Hall of Fame Class. From the Emmanuel College women's basketball program, 2010 graduate Iman (Davis) Barbosa was named the 2008 and 2009 GNAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year as a sophomore and junior. Barbosa ended her career as Emmanuel's all-time leading scorer with 1,732 points and finished her career among the program leaders in almost every statistical category, registering 757 rebounds, 410 assists and 393 steals. Per game, she averaged 15.2 points 6.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.5 steals over 114 games. Barbosa, a native of Toms Rivier, N.J., native helped Emmanuel capture the GNAC Women's Basketball crown every season she suited up for the Saints in one of the most dominant runs in conference history. Her squads combined to post an overall record of 95-23 (.805 winning percentage) while at Emmanuel including a gaudy 43-4 record in GNAC play.
  • FORMER WOMEN'S HOOPS STAR IMAN (DAVIS) BARBOSA TO BE INDUCTED INTO GNAC HALL OF FAME

    WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced that it will induct eight new members into the GNAC Hall of Fame later this summer on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Former Emmanuel College Women's Basketball standout Iman (Davis) Barbosa '10 has been selected for enshrinement in the GNAC Hall of Fame as part of the 2019 induction class.
  • EMMANUEL WOMEN'S HOOPS PROGRAM INDUCTED INTO NE BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME

    JOHNSTON, R.I. – On Thursday, June 20, the Emmanuel College Women’s Basketball program was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the 2019 induction class. The Saints program earned the honor of "Program of Distinction" in this year's Hall of Fame class.
