BOSTON, Mass. - Emmanuel College senior Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has earned CoSIDA All-District honors, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), for the third-consecutive year.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their excellence both on the court and in the classroom. The District Team selections are divided into eight geographic districts and further delineated by NCAA Divisions I, II and III.
A three-year starter for the Saints since transferring to Emmanuel prior to the start of the 2017-18 season, Ramirez-Tejeda is averaging 18.9 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 47.7% (200-419) from the floor. In just three seasons, she ranks fourth all-time at Emmanuel in career points (1,509) and third in rebounds (879).
A Criminal Justice major, Ramirez-Tejeda collected CoSIDA Academic All-American honors last season as well as Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Conference honors following her sophomore and junior years.
She is the one of three GNAC women's basketball players to earn the academic accolade joining Maddy Moro (Johnson & Wales) and Lexie Hamilton (Colby-Sawyer) who earned All-District honors in District 2.
First team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first, second and third team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
