McCAFFREY CLOSES SEASON WITH THIRD GNAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR

BOSTON, Mass. - Emmanuel freshman Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, R.I.) was named the GNAC Corvias Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week by the conference office on Monday afternoon. It marks the third time this season that McCaffrey has been honored as the conference’s top rookie.

CROSS COUNTRY WRAPS UP FALL SEASON AT NCAA D-III NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIP

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Emmanuel College men’s and women’s cross country team wrapped up the 2015 campaign with one final performance coming at the NCAA Division III New England Championship hosted by Connecticut College. Williams College edged Amherst College in the men’s 8K race with 67 points while the Williams women’s team cruised to the win in the 6K race with 44 points, beating Tufts by 63 points.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY WINS GNAC TITLE; McCAFFREY & DaROCHA EARN MAJOR AWARDS

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College Women's Cross Country team earned the 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship on Saturday afternoon in Standish, Maine. The Saints had three runners in the top ten overall finishers en route to their second conference title in the last three seasons.

WXC PICKED TO WIN GNAC TITLE; MXC PICKED THIRD BY COACHES

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College women's cross country team was selected as the favorite in the 2015 GNAC Cross Country Championships, which will be hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday, October 31 in Standish, Maine. Like their female counterparts, the men's team received one first place vote, but they were selected third overall in the poll.

EMMANUEL & WENTWORTH TOP 10TH ANNUAL SAINTS INVITATIONAL XC FIELDS

DORCHESTER, Mass. – Emmanuel College hosted the 10th running of the Saints Invitational on the historic cross country course at Franklin Park on Friday evening. Over 400 runners represented 24 colleges and universities, with 22 women's teams competing in the 5k and 22 men's teams in the 8k event. For the first time in the event’s history, the host Saints took team honors on the women's side, placing three runners in the top six and scoring 57 total points. Wentworth Institute of Technology won the men's race with the Leopards sealing up the three positions among the top seven racers, as the team combined for 72 total points.

WXC WINS RUNNIN' MONKS INVITE, MXC PLACES FIFTH

BOSTON, Mass. - Freshman Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, R.I.) and the Emmanuel College Women's Cross Country team were victorious at the Runnin' Monks Invitational, hosted by St. Joseph's College (Me.) on Saturday afternoon. The Saints men's squad placed fifth at the same event, led by junior Ian Chamenko's (Beacon Falls, Conn.) third-place individual finish.

CROSS COUNTRY, WOMEN'S BASKETBALL VOLUNTEER AT BRIAN HONAN 5K

WINTHROP, Mass. – This past Sunday, September 27 marked the 12th annual Brian Honan 5K Run/Walk in Allston, Mass. Named in honor of the former Boston city councilor who passed away in 2002, the Brian Honan 5K is a commemorative road race honoring Brian's unwavering dedication to the community.

BOSTON, Mass. - Emmanuel freshman Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, R.I.) was named the GNAC Corvias Women's Runner and Rookie of the Week by the conference offices on Monday afternoon. Fellow Saint, junior Ian Chamenko (Beacon Falls, Conn.) took Runner of the Week honors on the men's side following a solid performance at the Codfish Bowl.

CHAMENKO, MCCAFFREY LEAD SAINTS AT CODFISH BOWL

BOSTON, Mass. - Freshman Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, R.I.) and junior Ian Chamenko (Beacon Falls, Conn.) each earned top-20 finishes at the Codfish Bowl cross country meet at Franklin Park on Saturday. The women finished seventh overall in the team standings and were third amongst Division III teams at the meet, while the men's team took fourth place overall, placing five runners in the top 50.

McCAFFREY NAMED GNAC WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College freshman Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, R.I.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. This marks the second time this season the rookie has been honored by the GNAC as she was also tabbed to the Weekly Honor Roll back on Sept. 8.

McCAFFREY SETS FRESHMEN RECORD, LEADS SAINTS AT UMASS-DARTMOUTH

DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Emmanuel freshman Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, R.I.) ran a 19:24 5K, setting a new EC freshmen record, finishing 33rd overall and leading the team to a 14th place finish in the varsity race at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday. McCaffrey was the highest finisher from any of the six GNAC schools that competed at the meet, and was one of 18 Saints on the men's (8K) and women's (5K) sides to run a new personal best at the meet.

CROSS COUNTRY OPENS SEASON AT ROGER WILLIAMS INVITATIONAL

BRISTOL, R.I. - The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams traveled to Colt State Park in Rhode Island on Saturday morning for their first meet of the 2015 campaign, running in the Roger Williams University Invitational. The Emmanuel Women finished the day with 5th place team finish out of the 15 competing schools, while the Emmanuel men ran 12th out of 14 teams.
