WXC PICKED TO WIN GNAC TITLE; MXC PICKED THIRD BY COACHES
BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College women's cross country team was selected as the favorite in the 2015 GNAC Cross Country Championships, which will be hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday, October 31 in Standish, Maine. Like their female counterparts, the men's team received one first place vote, but they were selected third overall in the poll.
BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College women's cross country team was selected as the favorite in the 2015 GNAC Cross Country Championships, which will be hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday, October 31 in Standish, Maine. Like their female counterparts, the men's team received one first place vote, but they were selected third overall in the poll.
The GNAC Women's Championship will get underway at 1:00 p.m., while the men's race will follow at 2:00 p.m.
In the women's coaches' poll, the Saints received 105 points overall to take the top spot. Defending GNAC champion Norwich University finished second with 103 points, despite picking up seven first place votes. The Saints defeated the Cadets by one point at the Saints Invitational two weeks ago at Franklin Park.
Defending champion Johnson & Wales took the top spot on the men's side, earning four first-place votes and 76 points overall. Norwich picked up three first-place votes and 72 points, while the Saints were next with 59 total points and one first-place vote.
