For the second straight race, senior Chloe Pangonis (Keene, N.H.) was the second Saint to cross the finish line, wrapping up the 5K in 20:13 and taking 24th place. Sophomore Marwah Haq (Methuen, Mass.) ran a personal-best 5K time of 20:51, taking 48th place, and sophomore Nicole Varca (Wethersfield, Conn.) was one second behind her in 49th place (20:52). Rounding out the top five for Emmanuel was freshman Mimi Duncan (Portsmouth, N.H.), who also ran a personal best, finishing in 21:02.
Following Chamenko on the men's side was senior captain Sean Colford (Epping, N.H.), whose time of 29:49 was good enough for 40th overall. Senior Corey Hebert (Acushnet, Mass.) was close behind in 43rd place, crossing the line in 30:13, and trailing him by 40 seconds was freshman Jefferson Zannoni (Merrimack, N.H.), who ran a 30:53 8K. The fifth finisher for the Saints was senior captain Max Bukowiec (York, Maine), who finished alone in 50th place with a time of 31:14.
After a week off, the Saints will head to Standish, Maine on October 10 for the Runnin' Monks Invitational, hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine.
