BOSTON, Mass. – The 2014 Emmanuel College Softball team enjoyed one of the better years in program history, coming just one win shy of the program-record with 17 wins to go along with a berth to the GNAC tournament for the first time since 2006. The Saints will look to build off the success in 2014 in years to come, losing just three players to graduation.

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College sophomore shortstop Catherine Davis (Wethersfield, Conn.) and freshman pitcher Jill Kilcoyne (Worcester, Mass.) have been named to the 2014 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Softball All-Conference team, it was announced by the conference office on Monday. This marks the second straight year that Davis has appeared on the All-Star squad, earning First Team honors this year, while Kilcoyne was tabbed on the GNAC Second Team.

BOSTON, Mass. - The Suffolk University Softball Team hosted the Emmanuel College Saints in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) twinbill on Friday afternoon. The Rams and the Saints split, as Suffolk took game one, 1-0, and Emmanuel won game two, 2-1.

BOSTON, Mass. – Simmons Softball swept the visiting Emmanuel College Saints, 11-3 in five innings in game one and 3-0 in game two in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Wednesday evening at Roberto Clemente field in Boston. The Sharks move to 20-8 on the season and 13-5 in conference, while the Saints fall to 14-19 overall and 6-12 in the GNAC.

The Saints were topped Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe Norwich University, 8-2, in game one and rebounded for a 10-1 win in game two. With the split, Emmanuel is now 14-17 overall and 6-10 in league play. The Cadets stand at 14-12 on the season and 9-7 in GNAC action.

WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The Emmanuel College softball team split a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader on Friday night with Albertus Magnus College in West Haven, Conn. The Falcons won game one by a score of 5-1 before falling to the Saints in game two 6-4. With the GNAC split, the Falcons’ move to 11-10 on the year, while the Saints move to 12-15overall.

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior pitcher Tayla Garnder (Orangeburg, N.Y.) hurled the Johnson & Wales University softball team to a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference victories over Emmanuel College Sunday afternoon at Roberto Clemente Field. The Wildcats captured game one 4-2 and went on to complete the sweep with a 5-3 victory in game two with Gardner earning the wins in both. With the victories, JWU improves to 15-7 overall and 8-2 in GNAC play while the losses drops the Saints to 11-14 and 3-7 in the GNAC.

The Saints dropped a 3-2 decision that went twelve innings in game-one, before rallying for a 7-3 win in the nightcap. Emmanuel now stands at 11-12 overall and 3-5 in GNAC play, while Mount Ida is 2-12 on the season and 2-5 in the league.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Softball Team cruised to a pair of shutout wins over Framingham State University, defeating the Rams 5-0 and 7-0 under the lights at Roberto Clemente Field on Tuesday night. The non-conference double-header had been postponed last week and the two wins boost the Saints to 9-10 on the season, while the losses drop Framingham to 4-10 overall.

NEWTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Softball Team split a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) games with Lasell College on Saturday afternoon at Taylor Field. Emmanuel picked up a 3-1 comeback win in the first game, before Lasell rebounded with a 6-1 victory in the second game of the doubleheader. Lasell improved to 10-4 overall and 3-1 in GNAC games while Emmanuel now stands at 7-10 on the season and 1-3 in league play.

BOSTON, Mass. – Saint Joseph’s College held on to complete a two-game sweep of Emmanuel College in the opening games of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball action, played at Roberto Clemente Field on Friday night. The Monks shutout the Saints in the opener, 5-0, before battling back from a two-run deficit to take game two, 4-2. The pair of victories improve the Monks’ record to 10-2 overall and 2-0 in the league, while Emmanuel falls to 6-9 on the season and 0-2 in GNAC play.
