WINTHROP, Mass. – Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Commissioner Joe Walsh is pleased to announce the 2018-19 Academic All-Conference Teams, as 1,030 student-athletes have garnered recognition this year. In order to be eligible, a student must have a 3.25 cumulative grade point average during the academic year and have reached second-year academic status.
His coaching peers describe him as dedicated and inspirational. His players say he is well-respected and loyal. But when longtime Emmanuel College women’s basketball Assistant Coach Arthur Howell was asked how he’d describe himself, he smiled sheepishly and said, “It’s never been about me. It’s always been about the team.”

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The Emmanuel College women's basketball team will face host SUNY New Paltz on Saturday, March 2 in Second Round action of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball tournament at the Hawk Center. Ramirez-Tejeda makes her second consecutive appearance on the All-Conference team with First Team honors while Weaver and McLaughlin garner Third Team accolades while Weaver was also voted the 2019 GNAC Defensive Player of the Year.
