Softball Receives Easton/NFCA Team Academic, All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced last week that Emmanuel Saints Softball is one of 125 softball programs in NCAA Division III to receive their College Team Academic Award, given to programs around the country whose team GPA exceeds 3.00 in the 2022-23 academic year.

Softball Earns Four CSC Academic All-District Selections
BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Tianna Dawe (Lynn, Mass.), junior Emma Crisafulli (Loudonville, N.Y.) and sophomores Samantha Hayes (Braintree, Mass.) & Madison Marks (Edgewater Park, N.J.) of the Emmanuel College softball program have received College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors, as announced by the organization on Tuesday, May 16.

Class of 2023 Emmanuel College Athletics Senior Awards Announced
BOSTON - On Monday, May 9, 2023, the Emmanuel College Department of Athletics held its annual Senior Awards Banquet, honoring members of the Class of 2023 for their accomplishments on the field, in the classroom, and within the community. This year, a total of 21 awards were presented as 18 student-athletes and three Emmanuel staff members were recognized by the department.

Six Saints Earn GNAC All-Conference Softball Honors
BOSTON, Mass. – Six players from the Emmanuel College softball program have earned 2023 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference honors, as announced by the conference office earlier today. Junior shortstop Olivia Conti (Cranston, R.I.) and sophomore outfielder Taylor Chelak (Westborough, Mass.) have been named to the GNAC First Team. Senior pitcher Tianna Dawe (Lynn, Mass.) and first year infielder Christyna Winstead (Uncasville, Conn.) earned Second Team honors while junior first baseman Emma Crisafulli (Loudonville, N.Y.) was named to the Third Team. Winstead and fellow first year pitcher Mackenzie Briggs (West Warwick, R.I.) were recognized on the GNAC All-Rookie Team while senior Maegan Amsler (Hanover, Mass.) was the Saints representative on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Softball Falls to Lasell in Nine Inning Heartbreaker, 3-1
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The 2023 Softball campaign came to a close for Emmanuel College following a 3-1 setback to Lasell University in the 2023 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Softball Tournament in Providence, R.I. The Lasers pushed across two runs in the ninth inning to come-from-behind and close the door on the Saints championship hopes.

BRIGHTON, Mass. - Unable to take advantage of their scoring opportunities, the Emmanuel Saints softball team fell in today’s Great Northeast Athletic Conference Second Round game to Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, 3-1, dropping the Saints into the loser’s bracket in the GNAC double-elimination Softball Tournament.

Softball Slams Rivier in GNAC Tourney Action, 12-2
BOSTON, Mass. - Following a 53 minute rain delay, Emmanuel College exploded for seven runs in the second inning including a grand slam by senior pitcher Tianna Dawe (Lynn, Mass.) to put away Rivier University, 12-2 in opening round action of the 2023 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball tournament on Tuesday evening at Clemente Field.

Softball Set to Host Rivier in 2023 GNAC Tourney First Round Tilt
BOSTON, Mass. – After finishing the regular-season with an overall record of 22-16 and an 8-2 mark in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) North Divisional action, the Emmanuel College softball program has earned the No. 3 seed in the GNAC North and will host No. 4 North Rivier University on Tuesday, May 2 at 4:30 PM at Roberto Clemente Field in the 2023 GNAC Softball Tournament Play-In Round.

Wheaton Walks Off With Two Non-Conference Wins vs. Softball; 2-1 & 8-7
NORTON, Mass. - Wheaton College walked off a pair of non-conference victories over Emmanuel College Tuesday afternoon at the Clark Softball Field in Norton, Mass. The Lyons registered a 2-1 win in Game 1 thanks to a walk-off homer by junior Lindsey Oliveira (Westport, Mass.) in the eighth inning before posting an 8-7 win in Game 2 on a walk-off sac fly from junior Jill Ceddia (Hopkinton, Mass.) in the bottom of the seventh to give the hosts the sweep.

WESTON, Mass. - For the fourth consecutive doubleheader, the Emmanuel Saints split the two-game set, this time with the Regis Pride, as an 8-0 win by Emmanuel in game one and a 2-1 win for Regis in game two, set the scene for another Saints split doubleheader.

Game Two Pitching Duel Favors Saints in Sunday’s Series Split vs. SJC
BOSTON - Runs were at a premium on Sunday in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference softball doubleheader between the Emmanuel Saints and Saint Joseph’s Monks, but after two games, each side walked away with a win, splitting the Sunday games at Clemente Field. For the Saints, it’s their third consecutive split series, all happening in the last five days.
