In between games of the doubleheader, the Emmanuel Softball program recognized Class of 2023 members Maegan Amsler (Hanover, Mass.), Tianna Dawe (Lynn, Mass.), Lylah Niederberger (Buzzards Bay, Mass.), and Julyanne Pacheco (Somerset, Mass.) in a Senior Night ceremony.
The program also recognized Senior Team Manager Hannah Bigos for her contributions and assistance to the EC Softball program over the past seasons.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1)
- The Saints were on the board early, quickly taking a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. With two outs and a runner on third, Amsler stepped in and drove a two-run shot over the left-center field fence for her first home run of the season and a 2-0 lead.
- A five-run bottom of the third came in two parts for the Saints as a 30-minute rain delay split the EC half of the third. Emmanuel took a 3-0 lead on the back of a wild pitch, eventually leading to the game's delay.
- After the break, the Saints returned with runners on second and third and no outs as sophomore Taylor Chelak (Westborough, Mass.) hit a two-run single up the middle, upping the EC lead to 5-0.
- The Saints third-inning lead would continue to grow with the help of back-to-back RBI singles by juniors Sammy Hayes (Braintree, Mass.) and Emma Crisafulli (Loudonville, N.Y.), boosting the Saints edge to 7-0.
- More runs awaited the Saints in the bottom of the fourth with consecutive doubles by Amsler and sophomore Madison Marks (Edgewater Park, N.J.) leading to three more EC runs and a 10-0 advantage.
- The Bulldogs had a chance to keep the game going in the top of the fifth, loading the bases with one out. Dawe, the Saints starter in game one, came through and forced the run rule after strikeouts to Dean seniors Sari Albury (Nassau, Bahamas) and Gianna Bencivengo (White Plains, N.Y.) ended the game, giving EC the 10-0 shutout.

- The runs continued for Emmanuel in the third, posting a five-run frame in their bottom half of the frame. The five-run outburst all came with no outs and started with an RBI single to left field for Pacheco that upped the lead to 2-0.
- Chelak stepped in next and reached via a fielder's choice, but in the process, two Saints scored on a error, bumping the lead up to 4-0. Back-to-back RBI doubles by Amsler and Marks would add two more runs to the Saints total, giving EC a 6-0 edge.
- Another outburst of Emmanuel runs was waiting in the bottom of the fourth, this time posting seven runs in the inning. Junior Olivia Conti (Cranston, R.I.) led off the fourth with a solo home run, breaking the program record for career home runs in the process with her 23rd career home run.

- After loading the bases with a hit by pitch and walk, first-year Emely Rodriguez (Lynn, Mass.) would come in as a pinch hitter and deliver in a big way for EC, hitting a grand slam on an 0-1 count, giving the Saints a 13-0 lead on Rodriguez's first collegiate career home run and RBIs.
