ENGLISH TABBED TO GNAC ALL-CONFERENCE THIRD TEAM

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College sophomore outside hitter Erik English (Simi Valley, Calif.) has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Third Team squad, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.

NASHUA, N.H. - The Rivier University Men’s Volleyball team earned another trip to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Semi-finals with a three set sweep of visiting Emmanuel College in a GNAC Quarterfinal matchup at the Muldoon Gymnasium. Rivier, 20-12 overall on the season, is the overall #3 seed and will travel to #2 Lasell College on Thursday night. Emmanuel wraps up the 2017 campaign with an 8-21 overall record.

The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team was defeated by No. 7 Wentworth Institute of Technology 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-17) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Thursday evening at Andy Yosinoff Court. The Saints slip to 8-17 while the win improves the Leopards to 23-6.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team was defeated by crosstown rival Emerson College 3-1 (37-35, 25-18, 26-24, 25-23) before bouncing back to beat Mount Ida College 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-11). Emerson defeated Mount Ida 3-0 in the second match (25-20, 25-19, 25-23). The split leaves Emmanuel with an 8-17 record, while the two wins improve Emerson 11-10 and Mount Ida drop to 12-16 after two losses on the day.

Nashua, N.H. -The Emmanuel College men's volleyball team split a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference matches Saturday afternoon at the Mulddon Gymnasium. The Saints recorded a 3-0 win over Mount Ida College before falling to host Rivier University, 3-0, in the nightcap of a GNAC tri-match. The Saints now stand at 6-12 overall and 2-3 in the GNAC while Rivier boasts a 14-8, 5-1 mark and Mount Ida at 10-9, 1-3.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University men’s volleyball team outlasted host Emmanuel College, 3-2 (24-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-14, 15-8) Wednesday evening on the Andy Yosinoff Court. The win lifts the Wildcats to 14-11 overall and 3-3 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action while the loss drops the Saints to 5-11 overall and 1-2 in GNAC play.

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College's Erik English earned the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week honors. The award comes after the freshman outside hitter posted a double-double in non-conference match-up against nationally ranked 14 MIT.

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Jon Roat (Macedon, N.Y.) had 14 kills, served five aces, and hit .429 to help pace the seventh-ranked Wentworth Institute of Technology men’s volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Emmanuel in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference played at Tansey Gymnasium.

The Saints improve to 5-8 overall while the loss drops the Dolphins to 4-8 on the year.
