NEWTON, Mass. – The Mount Ida College softball program has added Julia Levins as the newest assistant coach for the 2016 season, it was announced by the Mustangs Athletic Department on July 30, 2015.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Emmanuel College softball players Catherine Davis (Wethersfield, Conn.) and Jill Kilcoyne (Worcester, Mass.) have been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Northeast Region First Team it was announced today by the NFCA.

WINTHROP, Mass. - A total of 822 student-athletes have been named to the 2014-15 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh earlier this week. Emmanuel College was well represented on the list with 109 representatives, a conference-best, making up 13.25% of the GNAC’s Academic All-Conference selections.

BOSTON, Mass. – The 2015 Emmanuel College Softball season will go down in the record books as the most successful campaign to date, winning a program-record 20 games and advancing to the GNAC Semifinals but don’t be surprised if this year is just the start as the Saints plan to return their entire roster plus a strong recruiting class in 2016.

BOSTON, Mass. – After posting what will go down as the best softball season in Emmanuel College program-history, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has honored EC standouts Catherine Davis (Wethersfield, Conn.) and Jill Kilcoyne (Worcester, Mass.) with post-season honors. Both have been voted 1st Team All-GNAC selections and Kilcoyne earned the conference’s top pitching honor as the 2015 GNAC Pitcher of the Year.

EAST BOSTON, Mass. – The third-seeded Saint Joseph’s College (Maine) softball team scored six times in the eighth inning, including a three-run home run from senior third baseman Kim Jordan (Bangor, Maine), to post a 6-0 victory over sixth-seeded Emmanuel College this afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals at American Legion Playground in East Boston, Mass. The Monks improve to 27-12 on the season and advance to the final day of competition of the tournament, facing fifth-seeded Johnson & Wales University tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. The Saints’ tournament run comes to an end as they fall to 20-17.

EAST BOSTON, Mass. – The sixth-seeded Emmanuel College softball team scored on a throwing error to supply the only run it would need in a 1-0 victory over number four seed Simmons College this afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals at American Legion Playground in East Boston, Mass. The Saints improve to 20-16 on the season, while the Sharks fall to 18-15. Emmanuel advances to take on third-seeded Saint Joseph’s College (Maine) later today.

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The sixth-seeded Emmanuel College softball team scored five runs in the fifth inning en route to an 8-3 victory over third-seeded Saint Joseph’s College of Maine on Friday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament play at West Haven High School. With the win, Emmanuel improves to 19-15 on the year, while the Monks fall to 25-12.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College softball team made history Wednesday evening with its 1-0 walk-off victory over University of Saint Joseph (CT) in First Round action of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Softball tournament. The win for the Saints was the program’s first-ever home playoff victory and the program’s first playoff win since April 22, 2004 when Emmanuel topped Norwich, 4-3, in the GNAC Quarterfinals. The victory moves the squad on to this weekend’s double-loss elimination round-robin format and EC is now 18-15 on the year guaranteeing them a winning record for the first time since the 1999 campaign. The Blue Jays end the year with a 15-18 mark.

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College split with Lasell College under sunny skies on Roberto Clemente Field in Saturday’s Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Softball double-header. The Saints took game one in shutout fashion, 1-0, but dropped game two, 4-3, in eight innings. With the split, Emmanuel wraps up the regular season at 17-15 overall and 12-10 in GNAC play. Lasell ends the year at 9-25 and 6-16 in the league.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College softball team picked up a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC victories over Suffolk University Friday evening at Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints captured the first game, 3-2, before posting a 5-1 win in game two. With the wins, EC improves to 16-14 overall and 11-9 in GNAC play while the losses drop the Rams to 22-8 and 16-4. It was also the first time that Suffolk lost both games in a GNAC twinbill all season.

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College dropped a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) games to Albertus Magnus College, 6-5 and 4-2, in a softball double-header played under the lights on Roberto Clemente Field on Thursday night. With the two losses, the Saints evened their record to 14-14 overall and 9-9 in conference play, while the Falcons improved to 19-10 on the year and 13-4 in the league with the pair of Ws.

NEWTON, Mass. – After taking a lead into the seventh inning of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball game against Emmanuel College, Mount Ida saw the Saints tie the game and take the lead in extra innings, but the Mustangs came back to score two runs in the bottom of the eighth to capture a 4-3 win on Monday afternoon at Alumni Field.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College and University of Saint Joseph (CT) softball teams earned a split decision in Sunday afternoon’s Great Northeast Athletic Conference doubleheader played at Roberto Clemente Field. USJ came out on top in a game-one nail biter by a score of 2-1 before EC regrouped for a 9-5 win in game two. The Saints are now 13-11 overall and 8-6 in GNAC play while the Blue Jays stand at 11-12 and 7-6 in the GNAC.

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph’s College (17-5, 9-3 GNAC) swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball twinbill versus Emmanuel College (12-10, 7-5 GNAC) at Richard W. Bailey Field on Saturday afternoon. The Monks posted a 3-2 walk-off win in the opener and completed the sweep with a 2-1 nightcap victory.

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University softball team played its first true home games of 2015 on Wednesday afternoon on the turf at Sabine Field at Haynes Family Stadium. The Cadets (4-12, 2-6 GNAC) split a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) games vs. Emmanuel College; with the Saints taking the opener 7-3 before NU came back to take the nightcap 6-1.
