HIGGINS NAMED OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR, FIVE OTHERS NAMED ALL-GNAC
WINTHROP, MASS. – Emmanuel College senior Sarah Higgins has been voted the 2016 GNAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year, the conference office announced on Tuesday morning. Higgins, a Groveland, Mass. native, was also named the GNAC Women’s Basketball Player and Defensive Player of the Year this past March.

LATE GOAL ENDS WOMEN'S LAX GNAC TOURNEY RUN; SAINTS FALL TO JWU, 9-8
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Emmanuel College women’s lacrosse team surrendered a late second half lead to fall in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament semifinals to Johnson & Wales University, 9-8, Thursdays evening at SMG Athletic Complex. The No. 2 Wildcats (13-5) advance to the GNAC finals for the first time in program history while the loss ends the Saints season with an 11-5 mark.

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior attack Kristen Tuleja set a new Emmanuel single-game record with an 11-point night to lead the Emmanuel College women's lacrosse team to a 17-5 victory over Mount Ida in Tuesday night's Great Northeast Athletic Conference Quarterfinal at Clemente Field. The Saints advance to Thursday's semifinal contest at Johnson & Wales with a GNAC Championship berth on the line.

BOSTON, Mass. – Six players scored multiple goals to power the Johnson & Wales University women’s lacrosse team over host Emmanuel College, 16-10, Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at Roberto Clemente Field. The Wildcats notch their eighth straight victory and improve to 11-5 on the year and 8-1 in GNAC play while the loss drops the Saints to 10-4 and 7-2.

NASHUA, N.H. – Junior attack Emily Baker (Stratham, N.H.) put together an impressive return to her home state, recording 10 points on seven goals and three assists to power the Emmanuel College women’s lacrosse team over Rivier University, 20-8, Saturday afternoon at Raider Field. The Saints move to 11-3 on the year and 8-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action while the loss dips the Raiders to 6-10 overall and 3-5 in GNAC play.

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior middie Sarah Higgins (Groveland, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week as well as the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Division III Player of the Week. Higgins earns GNAC honors for the second time this season and it marks the third straight week that an Emmanuel Saint has garnered the accolade as senior Kristen Tuleja (Mansfield, Mass.) earned the honor last week.

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior middie Kristen Tuleja (Mansfield, Mass.) set a new single-game scoring record with nine goals to power the Emmanuel College women’s lacrosse team past Norwich University, 21-9, Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at Roberto Clemente Field. Tuleja also broke the single-game point record, dishing out two assists in the win for 11 total points. The Saints improve to 6-2 overall on the year and 4-0 in GNAC play while the Cadets fall to 4-5 overall and 1-3 in the GNAC.

SAINTS SHUTOUT FALCONS IN 19-0 ROMP
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College women’s lacrosse team cruised to a 19-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory over Albertus Magnus College Tuesday evening at Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints held the Falcons scoreless to record the first shutout in the program’s six year history and improve to 3-2 on the year and 1-0 in the GNAC. The loss drops Albertus Magnus to 0-4 and 0-1.
