Men's Volleyball Returns to Win Column; Tops Dean, 3-0
FRANKLIN, Mass. - Seamus McDonagh and Josh McDonald combined for 20 kills and visiting Emmanuel College posted a convincing 3-0 win over Dean College in non-league men’s volleyball action on Saturday morning.

THE LEAD:
Seamus McDonagh and Josh McDonald combined for 20 kills and visiting Emmanuel College posted a convincing 3-0 win over Dean College in non-league men's volleyball action on Saturday morning.
Game scores were 25-18, 25-14 and finally 25-12.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Saints hit .296 for the contest including a match-best .333 in the opening set when the Bulldogs actually gave them their toughest challenge.
In the final two sets, Emmanuel jumped out to huge leads before settling for relatively easy victories, taking a 13-3 edge in the second frame and then a 14-4 bulge in the clinching third set.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
McDonagh had a strong all-around game, finishing with match-bests of 11 kills and 18 assists to go along with five digs and two blocks. McDonagh, meanwhile, chipped in with nine kills on .571 hitting and Roman Fabrizio totaled three kills, 12 assists and six digs.
Dean was paced by Aaron Brody (Webster, Mass.) who ended with seven kills and six digs. John Kauffman (North Providence, R.I.) racked up three kills and nine digs while Tyler Martins (North Providence, R.I.) doled out nine assists.
UP NEXT:
Dean returns to action on Tuesday when they host Emerson College at 7:00 PM. The Saints are off until they return to GNAC play with a home contest against #6 Rivier University. First serve is slated for 7:00 PM as well.
