EMMANUEL WELL REPRESENTED ON GNAC ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

WINTHROP, Mass. - A total of 822 student-athletes have been named to the 2014-15 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh earlier this week. Emmanuel College was well represented on the list with 109 representatives, a conference-best, making up 13.25% of the GNAC’s Academic All-Conference selections.

2015 MEN’S LACROSSE SEASON IN REVIEW

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men's lacrosse team put together its second consecutive championship campaign in just its fourth year as a varsity program, wrapping the 2015 season with a 13-5 overall recording including an 8-0 mark in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. The Saints captured the program's second GNAC Championship to earn an NCAA Tournament berth before falling to the eventual national champion, Tufts, for the second straight season in the opening round.

MEN’S LACROSSE POST-SEASON RUN ENDS WITH NCAA TOURNEY LOSS AT TUFTS

MEDFORD, Mass. - Tufts University scored nine second-quarter goals to pull away from Emmanuel College and earn a 21-6 victory in the first round of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship at a sun-drenched Bello Field on Wednesday afternoon.

SAINTS TO FACE TUFTS IN 1ST ROUND NCAA MEN’S LACROSSE TOURNAMENT

Emmanuel College has been paired up with defending national champion Tufts University for 1st round action in the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament. The Jumbos (16-2), receiving the No. 2 seed in the North during Sunday night’s NCAA selection show, will host the Saints (13-4) on Wednesday, May 6th, at Bello Field in Medford, Mass. Game time is still to be determined.

MEN’S LACROSSE LAND EIGHT ON GNAC ALL-CONFERENCE SQUAD; CURTIS & HEFFERNAN NAMED OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team landed eight members on the 2015 All-Conference squad for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday, March 28. The Saints had three First Team selections, five Second Team selections and had two major award winners following the program’s second-consecutive GNAC Championship when they defeated Mount Ida College, 13-6, on Saturday, April 25. Junior middie Chris Curtis (Ashland, Mass.) has been named the 2015 GNAC Offensive Player of the Year while junior defender Pat Heffernan (Pembroke, Mass.) was honored as the Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPS!!!

BOSTON, Mass. – Top-seeded Emmanuel College rolled to a 13-6 win over No. 2 Mount Ida College on Saturday afternoon to win the program’s second-consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men’s Lacrosse Championship. With an overall record of 13-4, the Saints have now earned the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Mount Ida falls to 11-5 on the year with the loss.

BIG SECOND HALF LIFTS MEN’S LACROSSE PAST LASELL IN GNAC SEMIFINALS, 9-6

BOSTON, Mass. – Trailing by a goal at the half, No. 1 Emmanuel College outscored No. 4 Lasell College 7-3 in the second stanza en route to a 9-6 victory in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Semifinals Thursday evening at Roberto Clemente Field. With the win, EC improves to 12-4 on the year and advances to the GNAC Championship for the second consecutive season while the Lasers fall to 9-7.

MEN'S LACROSSE ENDS REGULAR SEASON WITH 14-7 WIN OVER ANNA MARIA

PAXTON, Mass.— The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team wrapped up its second consecutive season without a loss in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action, defeating Anna Maria College 18-7 on Saturday afternoon at AMCAT Field. With the victory, the Saints improve to 11-4 overall and 8-0 in the GNAC.

MEN’S LACROSSE CELEBRATES SENIOR NIGHT WITH 12-4 WIN OVER MONKS

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College celebrated the careers of the eleven seniors on the Men’s Lacrosse Team prior to the Saints’ 12-4 victory over Saint Joseph’s College on Tuesday night on Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints stretched their win streak to eight games and used the Great Northeast Athletic Conference win to improve to 10-4 on the season and 7-0 in league play. The loss dropped the visiting Monks to 5-8 overall and 2-5 against GNAC opponents.

SAINTS OVERPOWER ALBERTUS MAGNUS, 20-9

NEW HAVEN, Conn. –Emmanuel College got a career-high seven-point game from sophomore Donnie Litzelman (Stratham, N.H.) en route to a 20-9 win over Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon. The win marked the seventh-straight for the visiting Saints, who improved to 9-4 on the season and a perfect 6-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. Albertus Magnus fell to 1-10 on the season and 0-6 in the league.

MEN’S LACROSSE CRUISES PAST RIVIER, 13-4

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team cruised to a 13-4 victory over Rivier University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action Wednesday evening at Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints improve to 8-4 overall and 5-0 in GNAC play and have now won six games in a row while the loss drops the Raiders to 10-3 and 2-3, ending their five-game win streak.

LITZELMAN, CIBELLI LEAD SAINTS PAST LEOPARDS IN C.O.F. SHOWDOWN

BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomores Donnie Litzelman (Stratham, N.H.) and Tony Cibelli (Westboro, Mass.) tallied career-highs of six points apiece to lead Emmanuel College over Wentworth Institute of Technology, 14-9, in a non-conference Colleges of the Fenway men’s lacrosse battle played on Sweeney Field on Saturday afternoon. Winners of five in a row, the Saints improve to 7-4 with Saturday’s victory, while the Leopards drop their second-straight to stand at 6-4.

STRONG SECOND HALF POWERS MEN’S LACROSSE OVER JWU, 10-5

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team broke open a one-goal game by outscoring Johnson & Wales University 6-2 in the second half, propelling the Saints to a 10-5 victory in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action Thursday evening at Roberto Clemente Field. With the win, EC improves to 6-4 overall and stays perfect in GNAC play with a 4-0 mark while the loss drops the Wildcats to 3-6 and 1-2 in the GNAC.

SAINTS REMAIN UNBEATEN IN GNAC PLAY WITH 8-4 WIN OVER NORWICH

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team remained unbeaten in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play following an 8-4 victory over Norwich University Saturday afternoon on the road at Sabine Field. EC improves to 3-0 in the GNAC and 5-4 overall while Norwich falls to 2-1 in league play and 5-2 on the year.

CURTIS POWERS MEN’S LACROSSE PAST LASELL, 14-7

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior middie Chris Curtis (Ashland, Mass.) scored a career-high five goals to power the Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team past Lasell College, 14-7, Tuesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at Roberto Clemente Field. With the win, the Saints improve to 4-4 on the year and move to 2-0 in the GNAC while the loss drops the Lasers to 4-3 and 1-1 in GNAC action.
