DAVIS EARNS GNAC MEN’S BASKETBALL ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College junior Kyle Davis (Groveland, Mass.) was voted a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men’s Basketball 2nd Team All-Conference selection, following his first full season of action for the Saints. Davis led the Saints throughout the season in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots, helping Emmanuel to a GNAC semifinal appearance and to the program’s best record in the past four years.
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College junior Kyle Davis (Groveland, Mass.) was voted a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Basketball 2nd Team All-Conference selection, following his first full season of action for the Saints. Davis led the Saints throughout the season in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots, helping Emmanuel to a GNAC semifinal appearance and to the program's best record in the past four years.
The starting center for the Saints in 20 of their 26 contests, Davis averaged 14.7 points per game, ranking 7th in scoring among the conference leaders. Hauling in 7.7 boards per game, Davis was the GNAC's 4th leading rebounder. His 0.7 blocks per contest led the Saints and ranked 7th in the conference.
The junior center hit for double-figures 19 times this season, with his career-high of 33 points coming on December 6th in a four-point win at Mount Ida. Davis posted a streak of 13-consecutive double-figure scoring games. He also notched a single-game school-record of 21 rebounds in a tough five-point loss up at Norwich University. Davis' 21-board game tied the record set by Theo Robinson back in 2012. In addition to his monster 29-point/21-rebound outing at Norwich, Davis also posted four other double-double performances during the 2014-15 campaign.
