WINTHROP, Mass. - A total of 822 student-athletes have been named to the 2014-15 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh earlier this week. Emmanuel College was well represented on the list with 109 representatives, a conference-best, making up 13.25% of the GNAC’s Academic All-Conference selections.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Men’s Basketball Team used the 2014-15 campaign to boast its most successful season in the past three years, as the team earned a 10-16 overall mark and advanced to the semifinal round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament. The Saints used a late three-game GNAC regular-season win streak to secure the No. 6 seed in the GNAC Tournament, before upsetting No. 3 Anna Maria College on the road, 76-73, in the GNAC quarterfinals. The Saints’ GNAC semifinal appearance marked the sixth in EC program-history.

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College junior Kyle Davis (Groveland, Mass.) was voted a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men’s Basketball 2nd Team All-Conference selection, following his first full season of action for the Saints. Davis led the Saints throughout the season in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots, helping Emmanuel to a GNAC semifinal appearance and to the program’s best record in the past four years.

Providence, R.I. – The No. 2 seed Johnson & Wales University men’s basketball team defeated No. 6 seed Emmanuel in the semifinals of the 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship at the Wildcat Center on Thursday evening. The win advances JWU to the finals of the conference championship for the fifth time in school history.

PAXTON, Mass. - No. 6 Emmanuel College pulled off a 76-73 upset victory at No. 3 Anna Maria College in the quarterfinal round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's basketball tournament on Tuesday night. Sophomore forward Aidan Hadley (Owls Head, Maine) paced the Saints with a double-double, which included game-highs of 20 points and 10 rebounds.

BOSTON, Mass. – After wrapping up the regular season with a 9-15 overall record including a 7-11 mark in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action, the Emmanuel College men’s basketball team is set to face Anna Maria College (14-11, 12-6 GNAC) in the Quarterfinal round of the 2015 GNAC tournament. With their 69-59 win over Suffolk University in the season finale, the Saints clinched the No. 6 seed and will travel to Paxton, Mass. on Tuesday, February 24 to meet the No. 3 AMCats at 7:00 PM in the Fuller Center.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 7 Albertus Magnus men’s basketball team used a 99-89 overtime win over Emmanuel College on Tuesday night to extend their home court winning streak to 53 consecutive games – the longest active home win streak in NCAA men’s basketball (all levels). After Jordan DeMario (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) hit a three pointer to give the Saints an 86-83 lead with three seconds on the clock, a full-court pass and a three-pointer at the buzzer by Tavon Sledge (Spring Valley, N.Y.) tied the contest to send it into overtime.

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph’s College (12-10, 9-6 GNAC) toppled Emmanuel College (8-14, 6-10 GNAC), 70-47, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men’s basketball contest at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday afternoon. Senior guard Steve Simonds (Steep Falls, Maine) netted a game-high 26 points with five rebounds, three assists and three steals in the important conference win.

PAXTON, Mass.—Juniors Patrick Bradanese (Billerica, Mass.) and Tyler Delorey (Worcester, Mass.) combined for 56 points and 11 three-pointers to lead the Anna Maria College men’s basketball team to a close 85-84 win against the Saints of Emmanuel College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Thursday.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Saints snuck past the visiting Cadets of Norwich University, 68-64, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men’s basketball action played in the Jean Yawkey Center on Tuesday night. The Saints used the win to improve to 8-12 on the season and 6-8 in league play. Emmanuel now holds sole control of the fifth spot in the conference standings, after winning four of the last five games. After defeating Emmanuel up in Vermont earlier in the season, the Cadets now fall to 7-14 overall and 4-11 in GNAC action with the rematch loss.

With the win, JWU improves to 17-4 overall and 12-2 in GNAC action. The Saints, who had entered the contest on a three-game win streak, saw their streak end and their record drop to 7-12 on the season and 5-8 in league play.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s basketball team downed Mount Ida College, 70-64, on Wednesday evening in the Jean Yawkey Center for the Saints’ third-straight victory. Emmanuel improves to 7-11 overall and 5-7 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play with the win, while the loss drops the Mustangs to 4-14 and 2-9 GNAC. Tonight’s win marks the first time since January of 2012 that the Saints have strung together three consecutive victories.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Athletic Department has been recognized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as the winning recipient for a story it submitted about the Saints’ participation in a Special Olympics event hosted this past November.

Newton, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men's basketball team posted a key 59-55 win over Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe Lasell College Saturday afternoon in the Athletic Center Gym. The loss sets the Lasers back at 5-12 (4-7 GNAC), while the Saints climb to 6-11 (4-7 GNAC).
