Krantz Takes First-Team Honors As Cross Country Competes in GNAC Title Meet
STANDISH, Maine – Emmanuel women’s and men’s cross country finished up their season with the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Meet, held at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. The women’s program turned in a fifth-place team finish while the men’s program placed eighth on the day.

Saints senior Emma Krantz (Manchester, N.H.) led the women's program with a fifth-place individual finish, running the 6k Monks Course in 27:07.4. The finish resulted in a First Team All-Conference nod for Krantz, improving on the Second Team All-Conference Award she claimed in 2022.
First-year Heidi Li (Braintree, Mass.) was next over the line for Emmanuel, finishing in 15th place after a race of 28:51.6. Fellow first-year Kendall Newton (Gloucester, Mass.) crossed the line in 30:08.4, a new 6k PR in her 21st place finish.
On the men's side, first-year Nick Ware (Rehoboth, Mass.), completed his 8k in 31:42.7, placing him 21st overall as the first Saints men's runner over the line. Sophomore Monet Elias (Westwood, Mass.) was next to finish for the Saints, completing his race in a time of 34:16.4, good for 42nd position. First-year Andrew Kubaska (Cumberland, R.I.) was close to follow, finishing in 45th place with a time of 34:56.6.
In the team competition, Colby-Sawyer was victorious in the team women's 6k, compiling 35 points, beating second place Regis by 46 points. For the men's race, Saint Joseph's of Maine defended their home course, winning the team title by 11 points over Norwich.
