Cross Country Finishes Final Warm-up Before GNACs at Suffolk Invite
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel Cross Country competed in their final warm-up event prior to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Meet, racing on Saturday in the Suffolk Invite. The women’s program took on a 6k race course while the men’s team made their way around 8k at Franklin Park.

Saints senior Emma Krantz (Manchester, N.H.) turned in a PR in the 6k race, finishing in 89th place with her personal best of 26:05.8. First-year Heidi Li (Braintree, Mass.), competing in her first 6k, ran the event in a time of 27:59.3, good for 128th. Fellow first-year Kendall Newton (Gloucester, Mass.) also ran her first career collegiate 6k, running the Suffolk Invite in 30:11.4.
For the Saints men, first-year Nick Ware (Rehoboth, Mass.) put in his best collegiate 8k, finishing with a PR of 30:07.2. Classmate Andrew Kubaska (Cumberland, R.I.) was next over the line for Emmanuel, finishing his 8k in a time of 32:14.2.
In the team event, the Saints women came through with a 19th place finish while the men's program placed 23rd on Saturday afternoon. Colby College swept the event, winning both the men's and women's team event.
The Saints are off until Oct. 29 and the GNAC Championship Meet, hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine. Race times for the event are yet to be announced.
