Saints Cross Country Returns to Racing at UMass Dartmouth XC Invitational
NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Saints men’s and women’s cross country programs took to the course for their first 5k and 8k of the season, competing in the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational. The women’s programs ran the 5k while the men’s teams raced in the 8k on Saturday.

THE LEAD – The Saints men's and women's cross country programs took to the course for their first 5k and 8k of the season, competing in the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational. The women's programs ran the 5k while the men's teams raced in the 8k on Saturday.
EMMANUEL HIGHLIGHTS
- In her first 5k of the season, Saints senior Elizabeth Cameron (Raynham, Mass.) led all EC runners in the women's event, clocking a time of 20:39.3.
- Junior Emma Krantz (Manchester, N.H.) and senior Mia Rowell (Candia, N.H.) finished within five spots of each other, following times of 22:19.6 and 22:25.7, respectively.
- In the men's 8k, first-year Mikel Lacroix (Cumberland, R.I.) was the men's program top finisher, finishing the meet with a time of 34:15.4.
- Junior Kyle Antoine (Brockton, Mass.), competing in his first 8k this season, turned in a time of 35:58.8, while first-year Adam Von-Maszewski (Westborough, Mass.) came in just after Antoine, recording a finish of 36:13.6.
WINNING PERFORMANCES
- The UMass Dartmouth Invitational finished as a sweep for the UMass Lowell Riverhawks, with the women's program scoring 56 points to claim victory and the men's program scoring 65 points to take the win.
- Despite the team sweep, it was women's cross county senior Lauren Selkin (Greenwich, Conn.) from Mount Holyoke College that took the individual victory, after finishing the 5k in 17:49.3.
- In the men's 8k, Franklin Pierce junior Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) won the individual honors, finishing the race in 23:55.3, a staggering 47 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
