Men's and Women's Cross Country Compete of GNAC Championship
BOSTON - The Emmanuel Saints men’s and women’s cross country teams competed on a rainy Saturday afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship at Franklin Park Cross Country Trail. The women’s teams competed in a 6k race while the men ran an 8k for the championship.

THE LEAD – The Emmanuel Saints men's and women's cross country teams competed on a rainy Saturday afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship at Franklin Park Cross Country Trail. The women's teams competed in a 6k race while the men ran an 8k for the championship.
EMMANUEL HIGHLIGHTS
- Saints junior Elizabeth Cameron (Raynham, Mass.) and senior Hannah Fitzpatrick (Revere, Mass.) earned places on the All-Conference Second Team with finishes of seventh and 11th, respectively. Cameron ran her 6k in 25:27 while Fitzpatrick completed the race in 25:44.
- Sophomore Emma Krantz (Manchester, N.H.) turned in a 16th place time of 27:16. Junior Molly Winship (Boxford, Mass.) added a season-best finish of 29th place with a time of 29:08.
- Sophomore Jorge Zapata (Parkland, Fla.) earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team with his 12th place finish in the men's 8k with a time of 30:40.
- Senior Joey Reed (Rehoboth, Mass.) turned in a time of 32:12, finishing in 26th place in the conference championship.
CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
- In the individual women's race, Norwich's India Jones took first place in the women's 6k with a time of 24:01, beating the nearest competition by 24 seconds.
- The team winner in the women's competition was Colby-Sawyer with a final score of 52 points. Three members of the Chargers were named to the All-Conference First or Second Team with their results.
- In the men's race, the individual winner was Dylan Flewelling of Colby-Sawyer. His time of 28:04 was 17 seconds better than the second place runner.
- Flewelling helped lead the Chargers to the men's team title with a total of 44 points. Colby-Sawyer edged out Norwich by five points for the team title.
