No. 7 Saints Women's Volleyball Set to Face No.2 Regis in GNAC Quarterfinals
BOSTON – The Emmanuel College women’s volleyball team (17-10) advanced to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Quarterfinals after topping Colby-Sawyer College in the Play-In Round on Monday. The Saints are playing in the postseason for the first time since 2018 and with Monday's win, claimed their first postseason win since 2015.

The No. 7 Saints are set to face the No. 2 seed Regis College Pride (24-7) at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Weston, Mass. Regis enters the postseason on an eight-game win streak. The two teams last met on Oct. 17 in the Jean Yawkey Center, and the match favored the Pride in a straight sets sweep. Regis combined for 41 total kills over the three sets in the victory. Senior Ahnasia Mckinney (Chelmsford, Mass.) stuffed the stat sheet for the Pride with 17 assists, nine kills, and five digs.
Sophomore Isabella Marquez (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) leads the way for Emmanuel's offense. She averages 3.21 kills per set, good for fifth-best in the GNAC. First-year Kason Huynh (Mission Viejo, Calif.) has been impactful for the Saints. She averages 1.60 kills per set, 3.89 assists and 2.27 digs per set.
Emmanuel senior captain Brigid Moriarty (Westfield, Mass.) has also made her presence known. The setter leads the squad with 45 service aces to go along with 4.32 assists per set. Fellow senior captain Seana Phillips (Middleboro, Mass.) has been impactful on defense, averaging 0.90 blocks per set, second-best in the conference.
First-year outside hitter Avery Mola(Cheshire, Conn.) leads the way for the Pride's offense, averaging 2.52 kills per set. Mckinney has been impactful for Regis. She averages 6.78 assists per set and 2.06 digs per set.
Kamdyn Tenorio (Irvine, Calif.) adds 3.74 digs per set for the Pride and leads the team with 61 service aces. Regis first-year defensive specialist Emily Hart (Meriden, Conn.) adds 3.49 digs per set for the Pride.
The winner of Tuesday's match will move on to the GNAC Semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 9 to face the winner of the Quarterfinals contest between Johnson & Wales and Saint Joseph's (Maine).
