BOSTON - Hitting a season-best .328 from the floor, the Emmanuel Saints earned a straight-sets victory over the Lesley Lynx on Tuesday night with scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-12.

THE LEAD – Hitting a season-best .328 from the floor, the Emmanuel Saints earned a straight-sets victory over the Lesley Lynx on Tuesday night with scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-12.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After an early battle in the opening set, the Saints rattled off five straight points to lead 12-5, including four consecutive services aces by sophomore Brigid Moriarty (Westfield, Mass.). The Saints continued to pull away claiming nine of the last 10 points to take the first set 25-10.
- In the second, the Saints took the first six points off the set and cruised to the win from there. A separate 7-0 run helped the Saints maintain their distance in the 25-12 second set win.
- In the final set, Emmanuel hit .304 from the floor with 10 total team kills as the Saints finished the match on a 6-0 run to claim the final set 25-12 and take the straight sets victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Saints senior Anna Caristi (North Attleboro, Mass.) finished with a match-high eight kills and a season-best hitting percentage of .636.
- Sophomore Sasha Hyacinthe (Stoughton, Mass.) added seven kills while hitting .400 from the floor.
- Emmanuel had their best set in the first, totaling 14 team kills and hitting .500 in the 25-10 set win.
- For the Lynx, sophomore Megan Lorenze (Concord, N.H.) led the team with six kills while hitting a team-best .238.
- Senior Ysabelle Abis (Jersey City, N.J.) added a match-high eight digs for Lesley.
