HOW IT HAPPENED
- The AMCats jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in the opening set behind the service game of freshman setter Julia Ramos (Orange, Mass.) but the lead was short lived as EC senior outside hitter Mary Shelow (Miami, Fla.) lifted the Saints to 12 straight points with strong service play, making it 15-5 in favor of the Saints.

- The second set was the closest of the match as neither side led by more than three points until late in the action when Emmanuel reeled off a 5-1 run following a 14-14 tie midway through the frame to make it 19-15. Anna Maria was not able to respond as the hosts went on to win the set 25-18.
- After falling behind 1-0 in the third set, the Saints never trailed again en route to a 25-11 win to secure the 3-0 sweep.
