FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Junior Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) led the Rams with 13 kills including the 1,000th of her career as the Framingham State University volleyball team defeated Emmanuel College 3-0 in non-conference action at the Athletic Center this evening.

With the win, the Rams, who won by scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 25-21, improve to 14-4 on the year, while the Saints fall to 4-10 on the season.
Rackliffe tallied 13 kills on 24 attempts in the game and with her fourth kill midway through the opening set reached the 1,000 kill milestone for the Rams. Rackliffe now has 1,009 kills for her career after tonight's contest.
Junior Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) chipped in with nine kills on 15 attempts with no errors for the Rams and also added five digs. Senior Annie DeLoid (Plymouth, Mass.) chipped in with eight kills, while fellow senior Danielle Girard (Tivoli, NY) added five and four aces. Sophomore Sarah Leonard (Southborough, Mass.) contributed 31 set assists, while freshman Mackenzie Whalen (Norton, Mass.) added eight.
The Saints were led by eight kills on 16 attempts and four blocks from junior Kaitlyn Atkinson (Brookline, NH). Senior Brittany Tutalo (Johnston, RI) and freshman Mary Shelow (Miami, Fla.) chipped in with five kills apiece, while Shelow added a pair of aces. Senior Shannon Dudley (Morro Bay, Calif.) chipped in 22 set assists and in doing so, became the fourth player in program history to reach 2,000 career helpers. Freshman Casey Sheehan (Medway, Mass.) led the back row with 10 digs.
The Rams are back in action on Thursday evening when they host Lesley University in a nonconference match beginning at 7 p.m. The Saints host #25 MIT in a non-conference matchup on Thursday also at 7 p.m.
