AS A JUNIOR...Thornton continued her two-season unbeaten streak, posting undefeated records in both singles and doubles action in 2010...helped the Saints to an 8-6 overall record, a 5-3 GNAC mark, and the program's 8th-straight GNAC Tournament appearance...named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team...will co-captain the Emmanuel Women's Tennis Team in 2011 as a senior.
AS A SOPHOMORE...Thornton went undefeated throughout the season, posting a 4-0 overall record and a 3-0 conference mark...represented the Saints in No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches...was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll on 10/13/09...was selected to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team ...received the team's Most Improved Player Award...helped Emmanuel to a GNAC semifinal appearance in 2009...will carry her 4-match win streak into the 2010 season.
AS A FRESHMAN...Thornton went 1-1 on the season and undefeated at 1-0 in GNAC play...was featured in both 3rd and 6th singles matches during the year...won the one GNAC 3rd doubles match she competed in...helped lead Emmanuel to a GNAC Quarterfinal appearance in 2008.
BEFORE EMMANUEL...Thornton was a four-year player at Holy Name High School (Worcester, Mass.)...played 1st and 2nd doubles as a junior...captained the team and played 2nd doubles during her senior year.
