Bio

Coach Miller is in his 12th season as the Head Coach for the Emmanuel College Women's Tennis Team. Coach Miller brings a tremendous amount of coaching and playing experience to the Saints tennis program. Prior to his current Miller position, Miller was the Head Coach of the Men's Tennis Team at Boston College for three seasons. At B.C., he led the Eagles to an overall record of 37-29 and a Big East mark of 14-4. Before his tenure with the Eagles, Miller was the head men's coach at Boston University for two seasons. He led the Terriers to an American East Championship in 1999. Prior to his two seasons at B.U., Coach Miller was the Head Coach here at Emmanuel. During his time at Emmanuel, the Saints captured 2 Great Northeast Athletic Conference titles. He also led the Saints to an undefeated season in 1996.

Prior to his collegiate coaching experience, Miller coached for several years at the high school level. He spent twelve years at Brookline High School, where he led his team to nine Bay State Conference Championships. In 1988, he was named Massachusetts Division I High School Coach of the Year.

Miller graduated from Beloit College in Wisconsin. He captained his tennis team during his senior year (1974). Miller has won tennis tournaments in seven different countries and held the No. 1 ranking in Men's 50 doubles. He has been a member of the USTA New England Team in the Friendship Cup and the Atlantic Coast Cup. In addition, he was captain of the 2002 New England Friendship Cup Team. He also serves on the Dunlop-Slazenger Tennis Professional Promotional Staff, is part of the Park School Summer Program, and is an advisor for Tennis Europe.
