ROCCARO NAMED TO GNAC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Emmanuel College freshman Sierra Roccaro was recently named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Softball Weekly Honor Roll for her performances during the week ending on April 27th. During the stretch, Roccaro led the Saints to a split with the defending GNAC Champion Raiders of Rivier College.

The rookie from Parlin, New Jersey went 4 for 5 from the plate to lead the Saints to a 10-9 win over Rivier. She notched 2 doubles and knocked in a run, while hitting .571 with a .857 slugging percentage in her two games last week.

Roccaro, the Saints' starting shortstop, has started in 11 of her 12 games played thus far. She is currently third on the team in batting with a .371 average. Roccaro and the Saints will play three-straight GNAC double-headers this weekend, weather-permitting. Emmanuel will kick on the stretch on Friday afternoon (4/1), by traveling to Emerson College for a 3pm start at Rotch Park.
