Bio
AS A SOPHOMORE...Turgeon started in all 25
of her games played for the Saints, playing both catcher and 1st
base...was the team's leading hitter with a .358 batting average,
including 29 hits with 9 doubles and 1 homer...led the team in RBIs
with 16...notched a team-best .506 slugging percentage and was 2
for 2 in stolen bases...tallied a .943 fielding percentage with 171
put-outs and 11 assists...was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll
on 4/12/10... helped the Saints to a 10-21 overall record and a
6-18 conference mark.
AS A FRESHMAN...Turgeon started in all 30 of
her games played for the Saints, playing both catcher and 1st
base...was the team's 3rd leading hitter with a .295 batting
average and 26 hits, including 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homer and 11
RBIs...tallied a .943 fielding percentage with 170 put-outs and 12
assists...was selected to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team... helped
the Saints to an 11-23 overall record and an 8-16 GNAC
record.
BEFORE EMMANUEL...Turgeon was a four-year
player on the varsity softball team at Dracut High School (Dracut,
Mass.)...helped the team to the northern finals her freshman
year...captained the team as a senior...was a Lowell Sun 2nd Team
All-Star and a Merrimac Valley Conference All-Star as a freshman
and senior and a Lowell Sun Honorable Mention All-Star as a
sophomore...was also a member of Dracut High School's swim and dive
team.
