Bio

Rebecca Sherwood joined the Emmanuel athletic staff in the winter of 2016 as an Assistant Coach for the Saints Softball Team. Sherwood earned her Bachelors of Arts & Sciences in Mathematics from Southern New Hampshire University in May of 2015.

While enrolled at SNHU, Sherwood was a four-year player as a pitcher for the Penmen Softball Team and captained the squad her junior and senior seasons.  Over her career, Sherwood posted a 9-7 record in the circle while recording five career saves and 47 career strikeouts. She helped the Penmen capture NE-10 Conference Championships in both 2014 and 2015, leading the team to an NCAA Regional Semifinal berth in 2014 and then an NCAA Super Regional berth in 2015.

Along with her involvement with the SNHU Softball program, Sherwood also was an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Sherwood also serves as the head coach for the Bay State Thunder 16 and Under Softball Team.

The 2015 SNHU graduate currently works full-time in Customer Service with a local enegery firm and resides in Quincy, Mass.
