WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced Tuesday afternoon that seniors Olivia Conti (Cranston, R.I.) and Emma Crisafulli (Loudonville, N.Y.), juniors Taylor Chelak (Westborough, Mass.) and Madison Marks (Edgewater Park, N.J.), and first-year Alexis Martineau (Merrimack, N.H.) have all been voted to a GNAC All-Conference Team, following the 2024 season.
Chelak leads the Saints grouping after securing her second-straight GNAC All-Conference First Team award in center field. Chelak led the Saints in numerous categories this season, including hits, batting average, and on-base percentage.
After not pitching in her first two seasons at Emmanuel, Marks was selected as a pitcher to the GNAC Second Team. Crisafulli joins Marks on the All-Conference Second Team, following another impressive season at first base for Emmanuel. Crisafulli was also the Saints representative on the All-Sportsmanship squad.
Conti picks up GNAC Third Team honors at shortstop and becomes a four-time member of a GNAC All-Conference squad after being voted to one of the GNAC's All-Conference teams from 2021-2024. Martineau snagged All-Rookie Team honors in her first year with the Saints, primarily playing outfield in her 33 appearances.
Chelak finished the year batting .394, ninth-best in the GNAC and fifth-best in the conference among outfielders. She led the Saints with 50 hits this year and was one of eight players in the GNAC to reach the 50-hit mark this year. Her .451 on-base percentage fell just outside the top 10 in the conference, finishing 13th-highest in the league.
Crisafulli moved to the All-Conference Second Team in 2024 after being voted to the Third Team at first base last season. Crisafulli, a strong defensive corner infielder for the Saints, finished the season with a .973 fielding percentage. Across her four-year career, Crisafulli's fielding percentage sits at .983.
Marks, a GNAC Pitcher of the Year candidate, excelled in the pitching circle this season on the way to her All-Conference Second Team selection. Marks finished the season with an 11-11 record, but a look through the numbers shows one of the GNAC's premier pitchers.
Despite not pitching in the first two seasons of her collegiate career, Marks finished the season with a GNAC-best 2.11 ERA, the second-best WHIP in the league at 1.16, and the second-most strikeouts with 137. Among pitchers with at least 20 appearances, Marks was only one of two pitchers who did not allow a home run to an opponent all season.
Conti takes a GNAC Third Team honor at shortstop to finish up her career as a Saint. A staple at shortstop since 2021, Conti batted .311 this season, including 10 home runs, second-most in the GNAC. She was one of four players in the conference with at least 40 RBI while her .639 slugging percentage was good for fourth-best in the GNAC.
Martineau rounds out the GNAC All-Conference selections with a spot on the All-Rookie squad. The first-year outfielder finished up her season with a batting average of .302 in 33 games to go along with 29 hits and 18 RBI.
Emmanuel produced their sixth-straight 20-win season after finishing the year 21-16, continuing a streak held since 2018 and excluding the shortened and cancelled 2020 season.
