KILCOYNE NAMED GNAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College junior pitcher Jill Kilcoyne (Worcester, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Week, it was announced by the conference office earlier this afternoon. This marks the third time during Kilcoyne's career that she's been named GNAC Pitcher of the Week, also earning the honor once as a rookie and once last season.

This marks the third time during Kilcoyne's career that she's been named GNAC Pitcher of the Week, also earning the honor once as a rookie and once last season.
The junior posted a dominant performance for the Saints, going 2-0 in the circle with a perfect 0.00 ERA over 14 innings of work to go along with 19 strikeouts, holding opponents to a .045 average. Kilcoyne flirted with back-to-back no-hit bids, throwing a complete-game one-hit shutout in a 1-0 victory over Saint Joseph's (ME). She followed it up with a near perfect-game, settling for a five-inning no-hitter in a 9-0 win over Lasell College.
The Worcester, Mass. native has been a force for Emmanuel throughout the spring, posting a 9-1 record in conference play with eight complete games under her belt. On the year, Kilcoyne has struck out 159 batters over 115 innings of work to average 9.65 K's per game which currently ranks ninth among NCAA Division III softball pitchers and first in the GNAC.
The Saints are on the verge of the best season in program history, tying last season's program record for wins at 20. They currently stand at 20-13 overall and return to the field on Wednesday, April 25 for a GNAC twinbill at Roberto Clemente Field against Fenway foe, Simmons College at 6:30 PM.
