Game one sent out Alicia Daniele who pitched a complete game shutout, striking out two and allowing only six hits. Her fellow Lions got work done on offense as well starting off hot in the first inning with four runs off two hits as Alexandra Magistro put up a two RBI double before a sac fly and passed ball brought around two more to make it 4-0.
Three more runs followed in the fourth inning as Bianca Buono crushed the first pitch she saw for a three run shot to left center to make it 7-0. Buono wasn't done there though as she finished it off in the sixth inning with her next at bat, with an RBI single up the middle to plate Amanda Horton and finish off the run rule.
Junior Jennifer Garrity was the only Saint to register two hits on the day.
Game two saw Alexandra Magistro take to the circle meaning business as she was one hit from a perfect game, striking out five in her 22 batters faced.
Her fellow Lions were a bit slow to start up on the offensive end, but finally hit the board in the third inning with a run on a Brittany Rochford RBI single before they added another in the fourth off an Emmanuel passed ball.
Up only 2-0, the sixth showcased their style in the sixth as they nearly ended it it early as they scored five runs off three hits. Highlights included RBI's from Shannon Tororsian, Alexandra Magistro, Nikki Delaney andLauren Jacaruso as they pulled away with the 7-0 final.
Sophomore Alex Bressette collected the lone Emmanuel hit in the second game while Val Kiers threw well in a losing effort.
