DI NUCCI SCORES 50TH CAREER GOAL

BOSTON, Mass. - In Thursday night's 2-0 non-conference win over Curry College, senior captain Amber Di Nucci (New Bedford, Mass.) scored her 50th career goal. Di Nucci fired in the game-winning goal in the 64th minute of the contest, leading the Emmanuel Women's Soccer Team to the shut-out win.
Di Nucci, who entered her senior season with a three-year total of 44 goals, has now netted six markers this season, bringing her collegiate career total to 50. Di Nucci will graduate as one of the Emmanuel Women's Soccer program's all-time leading scorers. In addition, she holds two play-making records for the Saints, as she is Emmanuel's all-time leader in assists (currently with 41) and the single season record-holder for assists (with 17 in 2009).
With 50 goals and 41 assists, the 5'0" senior midfielder now has recorded 141 total points for the Saints. She has started in every one of her 84 games played for Emmanuel. Di Nucci is a three-time GNAC 1st-Team All-Conference selection and is ranked among the past and present GNAC leaders for both all-time goals and assists.
Di Nucci will be honored this Saturday (10/23), along with fellow seniors Erin Hanlon, Kristina Marik and Kelsey Fitzpatrick, prior to the Saints' last regular season home contest.
