Bio
Billy Levitsky joined the Saints women's soccer staff as a Goalkeeper Coach in the summer of 2021 and transitioned into the lead Assistant Coach in 2022. Levitsky has spent time coaching with FC Blazers and the Star Goalkeeper Academy since 2010.
Since joining the Emmanuel staff, Levitsky has made a remarkable impact with the Saints goalies, elevating the position as one of the best in NCAA Division III. In 2022, Levitsky coached the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Goalie of the Year (Patricia Kirejczyk), whose 0.18 GAA in 15 appearances set a new program record for the lowest single-season goals-against average. Kirejczyk, led by coaching from Levitsky, finished that season with the second-lowest GAA in Division III and the second-highest save percentage in the Nation (93.5%).
In 2023, Levitsky again helped Saints goaltending reach new heights with Gaby Baker taking over the starting role. Last season, Baker set single-season program records in wins (17) and shutouts (11). Baker finished the season with a 0.55 GAA and an 87.1 save percentage, good for second-lowest and third-best in single-season program history, respectively. Nationally, Baker finished eighth in most shutouts, 20th in GAA, and 30th in save percentage in NCAA Division III.
As a player, Levitsky played four seasons with Framingham State University from 2010-2014, including being a member of the 2011 MASCAC Championship team that automatically qualified for the NCAA Tournament. During that same time, Levitsky played for a series of semi-professional teams, including the Worcester Hydra, the Real Boston Rams, and Greater Lowell United FC.
Coaching with FC Blazers, Levitsky has totaled nine United States Youth Soccer State Cup Championships from 2013-2018, including having the No. 1 ranked under-17 team in the country in 2014. Additionally, Levitsky has been a mentor for players in professional tryouts, including Michael Bernard, who tried out with Kansas City and New York Red Bulls, and Sandro Van Kuijck, who currently plays in the Dutch Third Division with VV Dongen.
Levitsky has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Masters in Clinical Counseling, both from Framingham State University. He currently works as a psychiatric emergency services clinician.
