Horan Claims GNAC Rookie Honors for Second Time in Three Weeks
WINTHROP, Mass. – Saints first-year Ciara Horan (Braintree, Mass.) recorded a seven-point week over three matches for Emmanuel and has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week in the GNAC Weekly Report. Horan has now been the conference’s Rookie of the Week on two occasions after winning it two weeks ago in the Week 5 Report.

Horan opened up the week with one goal and one assist in a 5-1 victory over Elms on Oct. 10. Her goal and assist came just 1:46 apart in the four-goal win.
The first-year forward repeated the one goal and one assist mark on Oct. 14 in a 2-1 win at Colby-Sawyer. Horan's 47th minute tally proved to be the game-winner, her third GWG of the season.
Horan added one final assist on Sunday, Oct. 15, coming in a restarted match against Norwich. The Saints went on to win 3-0 as Horan was credited with an assist in the 23rd minute.
Emmanuel has three games remaining in the regular season and are firmly in control of the No. 2 seed for the GNAC Postseason. The Saints welcome USJ on Oct. 18 at 7:00 p.m., then head to Mitchell on Oct. 21, before finishing up the season with Senior Night on Oct. 23 vs. Rivier at 7:00 p.m. on Clemente Field.
