THE LEAD – A match tied 1-1 at the half quickly changed in favor of Lasell, as the Lasers used three goals in the second half to claim a Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory over the Emmanuel Saints, 4-1, on Wednesday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The eventual game-winning goal and start of the three-goal half for Lasell came in the 51st minute with Lasell sophomore Priscilla Martinelli (Plymouth, Mass.) scoring over the head of Saints first-year goalie Sandra Griffith (Roland, Ark.), and giving the Lasers a 2-1 edge.
- Martinelli struck again in the 68th minute, benefitting from a rebound shot by graduate student Serena Speight (Biddeford, Maine), helping Lasell to a 3-1 lead. Speight added another assist in the 85th minute, crossing a ball into sophomore Michelina D'Agostino (Longmeadow, Mass.), whose goal put Lasell ahead 4-1.
- The Lasers started the scoring in the fifth minute on a pinpoint shot into the bottom left corner of the net by first-year Camdyn LaMarre (Belgrade, Maine). EC answered back in the 32nd minute thanks to a pass through traffic by junior Addie LeGault (Farmington, Conn.), finding the foot of first-year Sarah Dullaghan (Belmont, Mass.), who finished into the right side netting for her fourth goal of the year, tying the match at 1-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

- LeGault's assist is the second of the year, increasing her team lead in points to 12.
