BOSTON - Five different goal-scoring Saints, including four goals in a 14-minute span in the first half, helped the Emmanuel Saints to a 5-0 win over the Rivier Raiders in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference regular season finale for both teams.

THE LEAD – Five different goal-scoring Saints, including four goals in a 14-minute span in the first half, helped the Emmanuel Saints to a 5-0 win over the Rivier Raiders in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference regular season finale for both teams.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The scoring started early with a pair of Saints goals scored just 30 seconds apart. Sophomore Rory Mahoney (Quincy, Mass.) netted her first career goal while senior Hannah Sullivan (Vernon, Conn.) tallied her first of the season, giving Emmanuel a 2-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes.
- In the 15th minute, senior Bailey Maurer (Florence, Mass.) caused a turnover in the Raiders defensive third. After finding a pocket of space about 25 yards from goal, Maurer fired a right-footed shot into the back of the net, putting the Saints ahead 3-0.
- Junior Megan McMillen (North Branford, Conn.) finished off the four-goal first half for the Saints, scoring her third of the season, as Emmanuel led 4-0 at half.
- First-year Kaci O'Grady (Cumberland, Maine) grabbed her first career collegiate goal in the 65th minute, coming off a cross from sophomore Amanda Sarro (Millbury, Mass.) to give the Saints the five-goal cushion.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The five-goal outburst was a season-high against conference opponents for the Saints this season.
- Saints sophomore Annie Costello (Winchester, Mass.) made one save to improve to 2-1-0 this season.
- Raiders first-year goalie Emily Mikelson (Concord, N.H.) played the first half, recording four stops in the losing effort.

- The Saints have qualified for the GNAC Postseason, earning the No. 8 seed and will travel to the No. 1 seeded Johnson & Wales Wildcats on Oct. 30 with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m.
