Women's Soccer Falls to Johnson & Wales, 3-1 in GNAC Tilt
PROVIDENCE - The Johnson & Wales Women's Soccer Team defeated the Saints of Emmanuel College on Wednesday night, marking their 12th game in a row unbeaten. The Wildcats improve to 13-3-2 (11-0-1 GNAC) while the Saints fell to 6-8-2 (5-6 GNAC).

PROVIDENCE - The Johnson & Wales Women's Soccer Team defeated the Saints of Emmanuel College on Wednesday night, marking their 12th game in a row unbeaten. The Wildcats improve to 13-3-2 (11-0-1 GNAC) while the Saints fell to 6-8-2 (5-6 GNAC).
Johnson & Wales opened up the scoring early through Hayley Viebrock (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.), who scored on a pass from Jordan Restivo (Utica, N.Y.) in the tenth minute, giving the Wildcats the lead. Restivo found a goal of her own in the 30th minute to give Johnson & Wales a 2-0 lead heading into the break.
Emmanuel pulled a goal back in the 56th minute through Kennedy Davignon (Woodstock, Conn.), cutting the Wildcat lead to one. In the 69th minute, Johnson & Wales added one more to restore their two-goal advantage, this time with Sammie Strong (Wethersfield, Conn.) scoring on a pass from Angelina Carrion (Hackensack, N.J.).
The Saints return to play on Saturday afternoon with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff at Clemente Field against Simmons. Prior to the match, the Saints will honor the senior class with a Senior Day celebration.
