LaROCHE HONORED AGAIN AS GNAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College sophomore goalkeeper Victoria LaRoche has been named the Corvias Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, it was announced today by the conference office. This marks the second time this season she’s been tabbed the top keeper in the conference, also earning the honor on Sept. 28.

LaRoche continued her stellar play in net for the Saints by posting a pair of shutouts in goal. The sophomore started things out with a pair of saves in a 3-0 win over Saint Joseph's College (ME) and ended the week with four saves in a 0-0 (2OT) shutout against University of Saint Joseph (CT) in GNAC play. The shutout against the Blue Jays was her seventh of the year, tying the single-season program record set by Jessica D'Ottavio ('13) in 2009.
On the year, LaRoche has been the squad's unsung hero by keeping them in every match. The keeper has posted 17 matches allowing two or fewer goals and on the year has compiled a 0.90 goals against average to rank second in the GNAC. Her .858 save percentage ranks also ranks second in the conference while her 103 total saves rank tied for fourth.
After opening the year 2-6, the Saint have turned things around heading into the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament as the No. 3 seed and a 10-8-1 overall record. The Saints have posted a 7-1-1 record over the last month and play host to No. 6 Albertus Magnus College on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 1:00 PM.
