Women's Lacrosse Scores Fourth Straight Win After 16-2 Victory at Anna Maria

The victory lifts the Saints to 7-4 (5-0 GNAC) this season. Dating back to the last game against Saint Joseph's College on March 30, the Saints tallied 21 straight goals without surrendering one defensively. In addition, junior goalie Isabella Thomas (Miami, Fla.) and the Saints defense combined to hold opponents to zero goals scored over a span of 61:05 between the two games.
Emmanuel scored nine times in the first quarter, including five goals over a 1:34 stretch, taking a 4-0 lead at that point. In the first, junior Dejaliyah Srimouksavanh (Portsmouth, R.I.) and sophomore Madeline Wright (Mattapoisett, Mass.) combined for the first six goals, each recording a hat trick, all part of a 9-0 first quarter lead. Wright continued to score as the second quarter came, netting a pair, joined by senior Abby Brown (Saco, Maine), who tacked on a goal, giving Emmanuel a 12-0 lead at the half.
The Saints outscored the AMCATS 4-2 in the second half to take a 16-2 victory. Emmanuel has won four straight and is 5-0 in the conference for their best start to the conference schedule since 2016.
Wright scored a game-high six goals to go with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Srimouksavanh finished with three goals and one assist for a four-point night while two goals and two assists for Brown led her to a four-point outing. Thomas made six stops in the Saints goal, improving to 7-4 this season.
Emmanuel finishes up a four-game road trip with a game at Rivier on Saturday, April 6, with faceoff set for 12:00 p.m.
