HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emmanuel was off and running quickly in the first quarter, scoring five goals in the opening 4:33. - Sophomore Rachel Canedy (Woodstock, Conn.) and senior Megan Steele (Auburn, Maine) capped off the five-goal Saints start to the first quarter, as the Emmanuel defense held Elms off the board, giving the Saints a 5-0 lead with 10:27 left in the quarter.
- After scoring three more times, giving the Saints an 8-0 advantage, the Blazers netted four-in-a-row in a 3:04 span, all scored by senior Anna-Elise Pikul (Belchertown, Mass.), cutting the Elms deficit to 8-4.
