Emmanuel College freshman Kristen Tuleja was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for her play during the Saints' three GNAC games last week. The freshman attack continued her strong play for the Saints, as she registered 12 points on the week with 10 goals and two assists.
Tuleja, a native of Mansfield, Massachusetts, helped Emmanuel collect a 13-12 GNAC win over Rivier University with a game-high five points on three goals and two assists, before netting a game-high five goals against Saint Joseph's College (ME) later in the week. She would wrap up her week with two goals against Emerson and over the three games collected five groundballs and caused two turnovers.
Tuleja started in all 11 of the Saints' games played and is Emmanuel's leading scorer this season with 30 goals and 8 assists for 38 total points. She has connected on 6 of 18 free position shots and collected 24 groundballs this year.
Tuleja and the Saints have just two remaining regular season contests, with both games to be played on their home turf. Emmanuel will host neighboring Wheelock College in a non-conference game this Thursday night, April 18th, before hosting Anna Maria College in a 3:00 PM start on Saturday, April 20th.
