WOMEN'S HOOP TO FACE MOUNT SAINT MARY IN NCAA REGIONAL

The Emmanuel College Saints have earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament. The Saints will play in Brunswick, Maine this Friday night, taking on the Knights of Mount Saint Mary College. Bowdoin College earned an at-large selection to the tournament and will host both the First and Second Round Regional games this Friday and Saturday, March 4-5, at Morrell Gymnasium.
The host Polar Bears (22-5) will play Salve Regina University (25-3) in a First-Round game at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, following a 5:00 p.m. contest between Emmanuel (21-7) and Mt. St. Mary (25-3). Saturday's Second Round game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off. Tickets will be \$6 for adults and \$3 for children.
The Saints will be making their 16th appearance in the National Tournament. Emmanuel advanced as far as the NCAA Final Four in 2001 and the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2007. Emmanuel last faced Mount Saint Mary on November 22, 2009, when the Saints defeated the Knights, 59-53 in the Championship Game of the E.C. Invitational.
Bowdoin will provide a video webcast and live stats of all of games this weekend in Brunswick, Maine.
