Bio

Pierre Sully joined the Emmanuel athletic staff in the summer of 2015 as an Assistant Coach for the Saints Women’s Basketball Team.

Sully brings a unique skill set to the coaching staff with a diverse background in coaching, higher/secondary education and athletics. 

For the past two and a half years, Sully has served as a Basketball Engineer/Player Development for a group called ATF Athletix and The 1:30 Project. ATF Athletix and The 1:30 Project trains Division I, II and III athletes as well as professional athletes from the NBA, WNBA, NBDL, NBL and overseas. Sully develops and implements workouts and conditioning plans for both individual athletes as well as groups.

Sully is also a player development coach for the Honduras Men's National Team and the liaison for the Women's Senior Team and the Girls' and Boys' U16 teams.

Sully has coached at the collegiate level before, serving as the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Lesley University from 2009 to 2013. He acted as the recruiting coordinator while also assisting with practice plans, travel management and academic supervision of the team.

Sully spent a few years overseas both working and playing basketball. From 2007 to 2008 he served as a Coach and Skills Coordinator for Hoop Dreams, coaching youths in Middlesbrough, England. During the same time he starred as the starting point guard for the Tees Valley Mohawks Basketball Club professional team, leading the Mohawks to the Patron's Cup Championship game by averaging a team-high 23 points and five assists per game during their 30-6 campaign. He also played a year professionally with the Manchester Millrats of the ABA during their first professional season. 

Sully graduated from North Cambridge Catholic in 1999 and helped lead his team to two league titles and one state championship. He was named a member of the Catholic Suburban League All-Star Team.  He later attended Roxbury Community College and led his team to a No. 1 national ranking.  Sully has the record for most points scored in a game with (46) breaking the record previously held by former Providence College standout and New England basketball Hall of Famer Ron Jackson.  Sully was the team captain for his sophomore year and was named Second Team Junior College All-American and First Team All-Region XXI.

Sully then relocated to Franklin Pierce University where he was a two-year starter.  He was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Honor Roll eight times.  He later graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a minor in Social Work Counseling.

He currently works full time as a Paraprofessional at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School where he is a co-teacher for the special education classroom for grades 9-12.
