AS A JUNIOR...

  • Played and started in all 28 games for Emmanuel as a junior, joining only one other player to start all 28 games. Averaged 13.8 points, second-most on the team, while playing a team-high 27.3 minutes per game
  • Finished the season with career-highs in scoring average (13.8 PPG), field goal percentage (40.7 percent), and three-point field goal percentage (36.6 percent)
  • Among GNAC players, Matela had the second-most three-pointers made (71) on the season and fifth-best three-point shooting percentage
  • Scored a career-high 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting on Jan. 31, 2023, in an 82-62 win vs. Norwich

AS A SOPHOMORE...

  • Appeared in all 27 games for the Saints during the team's GNAC Championship campaign.
  • Finished the year averaging 7.7 points and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 34.8 percent from beyond the arc, all in an average of 14.8 minutes per game.
  • By season's end, Matela was ninth in the conference in three-point percentage (34.8 percent) while making the 12th-most three-pointers (39) in the 2021-22 campaign.
  • Made collegiate debut on Nov. 13, 2022, coming in a 76-60 win over Salve Regina.
  • Scored a career-high 18 points in Round One of the NCAA tournament vs. Brooklyn. Matela was 8-of-14 from the floor, playing a career-high 26 minutes.
