BEFORE EMMANUEL...Cockerill was two-sport athlete at Darien High School (Darien, Conn.)...played four years of varsity volleyball and three years of varsity track & field...two-time team volleyball captain...two-time 1st Team All-Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC)...voted two-time All-State...FCIAC high jump champion...played club volleyball with the Connecticut Juniors, as well as the Mizuno East...led his high school team to the FCIAC Championship and to the Connecticut State Championship.
