Men's Volleyball Rolls Past Dean, 3-0
BOSTON - The Emmanuel College men's volleyball team (14-8, 7-4 GNAC) rolled to their second Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) sweep of Dean College (3-13, 0-9 GNAC) in the last eight days on Tuesday night in the Jean Yawkey Center. The Saints won the sets 25-17, 25-13, and 25-17 en route to their sixth victory in the month of March.

The Saints won the sets 25-17, 25-13, and 25-17 en route to their sixth victory in the month of March.
Back-to-back kills from Leonard Kim (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Maximilian Olsen (Barnstable, Mass.) set the tone for the Saints, scoring the first two points of the contest. The Saints went on to grow their advantage to 10-2 early on, forcing Dean into a timeout. With the score 12-3, the Bulldogs looked to claw back into the first set by winning six of the next eight points and cutting the lead down to five. Emmanuel was able to regain control and marched on to a 25-17 first set victory that was capped off with a kill from Joshua Duncan (East Taunton, Mass.).
Maccus Dinsmore's (Northborough, Mass.) kill early in the second set saw Dean jump out to a 4-1 edge. Emmanuel retook the lead shortly after off of a Bulldogs error and went on to open up a commanding 17-8. The Saints proceeded to guide the remainder of the set in their favor to take a 2-0 lead with a 25-13 victory.
With the score 9-8 Emmanuel midway through the third set, the Saints erupted on a 5-1 run to give themselves a five-point cushion. Emmanuel never looked back with another kill from Kim and a Dean service error concluding the match 3-0 with a 25-17 final set triumph.
Kim led the Saints attack with a season-high 10 kills on a .643 hitting percentage followed by Declan Morrison (North Kingstown, R.I.) who finished with eight. Quincy Moore (Winchester, Mass.) and Jacob Aronov (Natick, Mass.) fed the hitters with 15 and 11 assists in the win. Arthur Felicio (Governador Valadares, Brazil) contributed nine kills while Hunter Armitage (Westerly, R.I.) added in seven assists for the Bulldogs in the loss.
Up next, Dean will travel to Newton, Mass. for a GNAC matchup with Lasell on Thursday (3/28) at 7:00 P.M. Emmanuel will visit Elms College in their next contest on Saturday (3/30) at 11:00 A.M. in GNAC play.
