Silva averaged 1.70 blocks per set to control net play for the Saints in a 3-0 week. The senior set the tone early with six total blocks in a 3-0 victory over Emerson and followed it up with a huge nine-block outing in a 3-1 victory over Lasell. Silva added 2.30 kills and 0.80 digs per set on the unblemished week for Emmanuel.
This season, Silva currently leads the Saints while ranking fourth in the GNAC and 57th in the nation averaging 0.78 blocks per set. The senior is also swinging at a .332 offensive clip, posting 96 kills through the first 23 matches.
Throughout his career, the middle hitter has been a solid presence at the net for Emmanuel collecting 183 total blocks to rank in the top-10 all-time in the EC record books.
The Saints are currently 14-9 on the year and return to action tomorrow evening when they head to New London, N.H. for a GNAC tilt against Colby-Sawyer College at 7:00 PM.
