MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SWEPT BY RIVIER IN GNAC OPENER, 3-0
NASHUA, N.H. - The Emmanuel College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Rivier University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Thursday evening at the Muldoon Fitness Center.

The Saints came out with vengeance leading the first set up to their 14th point, until Senior Deshaun Graham (Highland Falls, NY) said enough is enough and took the lead with a punishing kill. The Raiders never looked back, finishing the first set 17-25.
The Raiders stole all three sets, 25-17, 25-15, and 25-16.
Saints senior captain, Erick English (Simi Valley, CA) showed his leadership earning himself eight kills and five digs. While sophomore Mike Kokoros (Braintree, Mass) tallied five kills one the night, finishing up at .417 from the floor.
On the other side of the net, junior Francis Kokoros (Braintree, Mass) reminded the Saints why he was selected as the GNAC Player of the Week, in Week 1 of the GNAC Men's Volleyball Report. The 6'8, Outside Hitter notched nine kills and three digs in his three sets while teammates Dashaun Graham contributed 11 kills and junior David Smith (Clinton, OH) chipped in with 10 kills, two digs and one block.
The Raiders are now 1-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play. This win puts them in good spirit to face off against Wells College (7-3, 0-0) in Utica, NY this Saturday at 2PM. The Saints (2-4, 0-1) will also be on the road this Saturday as they'll be traveling to Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass., to face York College.
